BC Hydro’s Solar and Battery Rebates Up to $150,000

BC Hydro launched new clean energy rebates, including 4 commercial streams for solar and battery storage. Rebates are available while funds last. Below is a general breakdown of each rebate stream and its availability.
BC Hydro Commercial Solar and Battery Rebates
[AVAILABLE] Small & Medium Businesses + Multi-Unit Residential Buildings (MURBs)
- $25,000 for solar panels
- $25,000 for batteries
- Up to $50,000 in total rebates
- Covers up to 50% of total project costs
Large businesses (minimum 2 GWh/yr. consumption) may qualify for Custom project incentives for solar and energy storage.
[AVAILABLE] Social Housing
- $75,000 for solar panels
- $75,000 for batteries
- Up to $150,000 in total rebates
- Covers up to 75% of total project costs
[PAUSED] , Indigenous Communities
- $75,000 for solar panels
- $75,000 for batteries
- Up to $150,000 in total rebates
- Covers up to 75% of total project costs
Rebates are available only to properties connected to BC Hydro’s grid or supplied by BC Hydro electricity.
